Large Print Books

Reading is for everyone. Books printed in the large type can be helpful to many of us (easy on the eyes). Some of us have difficulty reading normal size print for various reasons, such as a vision impairment, or simply age. And there are some people who just like to read large print. Those who can, and do benefit from large print books include:

	Senior Citizens
	The Visually impaired
	Stationary bicycle and treadmill users
	Speed readers
	Students with reading difficulties
	Patients recovering from a head injury or stroke
	and Cooks!

The Bridgeport Public Library has over 500 books in Large Print from various categories:

	Westerns
	Mysteries
	Classic Literature
	Novels
	Inspirational
	Biographies
	Non-fiction/informational
	...and the list is growing

Also, check with the Talking Book and Braille Service, sponsored by the Nebraska Library Commission, for assistance acquiring more books for any special needs.

Video/DVDs loan periods are 3 days. Reference material cannot be checked out.

DO YOU HAVE A LIBRARY CARD?

To use any of the library services, it is required you have a library card and be in "good standing" with the library. Registration/library card is free of charge. However, a $3.00 one-time deposit is required before you can check out any videos.

Books, magazines, cassettes, and cd loan periods are 2 weeks. Current magazines are 1 week only. Video/ DVD loan periods are 3 days. Reference material cannot be checked out.

FREE-FRIDAYs

Any items overdue, bring into the library (not the book drop) on Fridays during regular business hours to waive your overdue fees. Free-Friday does not apply to new releases.
