Friends of the Library

What Are Friends of the Library?

Friends of the Library is a group of citizens in the community who have a common concern for their library. They are interested in a closer relationship between their library and the public it serves. Friends of the Library create public interest in the library. They are active volunteers who are independently organized to support, promote, improve, and expand their local library. The Friends of the Library and the library board of trustees functions are not the same and cannot be treated as such by either group. Informed Friends groups and trustees working cooperatively with and through the library director can be of valuable assistance in the total public relations effort of the library.

Books, magazines, cassettes, and cd loan periods are 2 weeks. Current magazines are 1 week only. Video/ DVD loan periods are 3 days. Reference material cannot be checked out.

FREE-FRIDAYs

Any items overdue, bring into the library (not the book drop) on Fridays during regular business hours to waive your overdue fees. Free-Friday does not apply to new releases.

DO YOU HAVE A LIBRARY CARD?To use any of the library services, including the internet, it is required you have a library card and be in "good standing" with library. Registration of library card is free of charge.
